Continental Race King 2.2 ProTection.

Continental tires with the Black Chili compound last long (certainly a lot longer than Schwalbe Evolution tires).

First, they're called Maxxis Ikon 2.2 EXO. Second, those are the tires he has been using. He asked people to suggest alternative options.

I have try the Maxxis Beaver for couple of races , probably one of the best tire I try for the mud but 2 flat in 2 race and the sidewall is really thin.

In rear I have a Specialized Ground Control and really like it , the sidewall is thick and good grip on mud and wet roots.

Any recommandation for a mud/wet front tire ?

Have used Beavers only at 2 races but it seems like a perfect tire for wet. At last race I've made a snakebit which was loosing air very slowly and haven't noticed it for 20km.
Has anyone tried running normal Beavers tubeless? I've done this with my AKA's which are my all-terin tire and they hold up great.

I ran normal beaver, tubeless, no problems.

The best tire I've tried in super muddy conditions. In fact, during a race, some spectators told me I was the only dude climbing a long muddy hill on my bike. Mountain goat tires.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, Beavers are great in mud. I couldn't believe the first time I tried them in a race, in muddy descend with aprox. 10cm of mud, was going like it was dry.
