Hey guys.

Quick question about my frame.

Long story short, bought a really poor quality wheel set, put it in my frame, wheels wouldn't turn, so I gave it some power and cranked it round and what its done is the hub caps have scored all the way round about 2mm deep recess either side of the rear drop outs, heres a pic to show you whats happened:

Looks worse in real life, its a good 2mm deep each side, my question is, is this frame now ruined or can it still be used safely as normal ?

Many thanks :)

Fine to use.

So basically the rear axle was locked solid then!

Oh that's cool to hear, phew thanks :)

Yeah it was locked solid, the spacers or hub caps just wasn't working and the wheel kept collapsing and falling to the left, so I switched um round and it made it worse and that caused the damage to my frame, gutted.

But if its good to go then rather than a new bike I will just get a new wheel set in time :)

Thanks for the post mate

Well I thought maybe it was on the wrong way round so was worth a shot but all it did was strip metal from the dropouts, was worth a shot, either that or sit and stare at the bike.
