I'm thinking of making the switch from clincher to tubeless, and I'm wondering if anyone has compared the weight of having a tube in there with the weight of the latex goop and UST valve? If I make the change, it will be to UST rims, so no rim strip is needed.

Please use Search and/or Google.

Well, according to the first google result Stans sealant weighs 45g per scoop. I think recommendation is ~1 scoop for road application.

If your rim is UST then you'll be paying a weight penalty in the rim.

And RT tires weigh more than their non-tubeless equivalents.

Overall, I wouldn't expect to save much / any weight by going to RT. I would make the switch for lower pressure option and some flat protection improvement (but it is not bullet-proof).
