Genesis High Latitude

Hi guys, been off the mtb side of things for the past year after my Genesis Core was
stolen, resulting in me switching to road full-time. I am finishing Uni in a few weeks so
I think it's time to get back in the dirt!

I love Genesis as a brand and my Core was my baby, however I'm a big lad and I feel it's
time to get a grown up bike - naturally, enter 29er.

I'm thinking about the High Latitude, as it seems to fit the bill perfectly - the big brother

My one concern however is the material - steel. Am I looking at a weighty build? Will be
built up with a 1x10 drivetrain, ideally ~ SLX level with a 100mm fork. Mostly used for XC
and trail centre riding.

Steel will add about 0.5Kg over a similar priced ally frame, so the choice is yours really! With an SLX level build it won't be heavy, but it won't be flyweight either, especially as 29er wheels and tyres are heavier than 26er.
