Light weight stem expander

Hey guys.

Can anyone recommend a light weight stem expander for carbon forks ?

Ideally I want the long one as I struggled keeping it tight before, so something like this:

This is what she looked last time I banged the rigid forks on.



Not sure you can see but, the way I have the stem and the spacers it was like it wasn't gripping and I had to use 10n/m of torque to get it to hold.

I swapped a spacer about and so I was left with a bigger gap at the top of the steerer to the stem and it made a difference so I was wondering if I needed a longer stem expander or not ?

Do you think that would be suitable enough to hold it tight and keep the um, 16 stone of ballast safe on the bike lmao.

Are you using assembly grip paste between the steerer and stem? Highly recommended.
also, are those aluminum steerer clamp bolts? They look red anodized...
Make sure the bolt threads are well greased, and hopefully not aluminum for that application.

Yes I use this, Pace RC005:



I did use red aluminium steerer bolts but I learned me lesson since then and I dont use them anymore.

I just don't want to spend a lot of money on this to find it doesn't hold or not suitable for a mans weight lol.

I glued in the center part of a expander in the steerer with epoxy-glue. It was around 10 gram and is rock-tight
