I need a dual-pull top swing clamp-on front derailleur for the M980 DOUBLE crank and I'm a little confused about the options.

Do I need the FD-M980 Top Swing version even though it says 'triple'?
I'm guessing it is the right one because the M980 double crank can be converted to a triple can't it?

Slightly confusing array of options for XTR FDs

On a side point if yo were using a friction thumb shifter like I do you could use what ever front mech you like. It does make things simpler. However the front sggested will work I believe.
