Post subject: XTR race disc brake pads

Been a while since I built me up a race rig.. What pads do I want, resin or metal? I prefer quiet braking.

Resin is more quitet but wares faster :-)

resin is quieter, metal is slightly more grabby and lasts longer.

If your are racing in muddy conditions then don't use resin pads, you could trash the pads in one race.

With all of that said I have seen many use Resin and Metal pads.

One on each side so you get the best of both.
