Ok thisisatest, so which monocoque frame manufacturer has the same str througout sizes, same trail / steering geo in smaller sizes, non tapered headset in <54 and size specific layups (ie equal ride and handling characteristics for a wide variety of height, weight and power output riders) for all sizes??

All this was after all fairly normal back in the steel days?

I did not specify them as monocoque frame manufacturers.
Specialized is starting to push this for 2013.
Orbea said their Orca had size specific tube dimensions for similar ride/stiffness characteristics, who knows how far they took it.
I think it was Jamis that advertised something of the sort. But I was mainly talking about Specialized. I think they are not quite consistent with regard to fork rake/hta/trail, but you get the idea.

This topic has been up for debate quite a lot of times but none of the posts were as detailed as yours. But I would prefer steel frame, it tends to be one of the most impact smooth rides and also takes care of vibrations better than most other materials.
