Hi all.
i'm on my 1st Cannondale with a lefty.
If I remove the 2011 OPT stem can I attach a regular 1.5 cannondale stem on the steerer?

the reason i ask is the OPI stems start at 90mm and id ideally like a little shorter

No. You can dismount the stem, mount an SI-steerer tube and then mount a Headshok stem, 1,5" is to small to fit.

With that, headshok stems that clamp separate steerer tubes go down to 80mm.
