Hi all.
I really don't like the feel of the 10 speed XTR shifters so I plan to make the change to SRAM gripshift and mech.
Previously Ive been a big fan of the 9 speed grip shift so does the 10 speed stuff offer a great improvement how they ball-raced the grip?
Does the XX offer anything over the X0 in terms of feel ?
Thanks
10 speed gripshift

I have no experience of the old 9 spd GripShift, but i really like my 10 spd X0 GripShift. I don't run the included handle. Good idéa, but way too wide for my small hands. I run it with ESI chunky grips and they match up perfectly and got better grip in my opinion.
What i've heard from people used to the old GripShift, is that the shiftingfeel is softer than the old version. Some like it, some don't.
The only thing i think is a bit on the downside, is the cover for the shiftercable. The only thing holding it in it's place, is the entire shifters lockring, and i have to push it really, really hard against the cover before tightening to get it tight enough.
The only thing that's different between X0 and XX versions is the cover for XX is in carbon + included Gore housing and wires. X0 comes with wires only and a aluminium cover.
Edit: Changed plastic cover to aluminium. My misstake.
