If anyone have problems in finding stans rim tape, or just isnt ready to spend for meters role, this is solution, ill post some pictures later, hope this will help to someone.

Good info! I'll look into TESA when I finish off my current roll of stans tape. Thanks for sharing.

I know for sure, i have both tapes original one from stan, and Tesa 4289, and they are exactly the same, same sound when you are streching it over the rim, same material ,same adhesive and it works great, i am testing it 3 months for now and so far no problems it sticks to the rim like a death to the granny :D

that's cool! Don't need any more yellow tape now, but it's good to know that its the same as tesa.
Is it the same weight and all?

3M crossweave tape is what you want. Tougher than Stans and much cheaper. I tape all my wheels up with this now, including 90psi road tubeless. You can get it in a variety of widths, 19mm is fine for most road and all MTB rims.

or on ebay

Hi guys,

Can you share where you have gotten the TESA tape from? I don't seem to get much luck finding someone to sell me a roll or two.

Thanks in advance.
