You might be able to negotiate with shipping here if it's only spokes you want:

Your in Oz as well aren't your FireSpitter? I just ordered a pair of Tune Kong hubs with 64 sapim spokes from Starbike and shipping was 12.40 euro - thats insanely cheap!

R2 didn't show the length I needed but I sent them an online enquiry anyway.

Asymptotic - No, I'm in Singapore. The only reason your shipping was cheap is because of the "reverse shipping charge system" Starbike uses. It's really twisted and it doesn't make sense for anyone with a small order to go through Starbike at all. Shipping for my 100 euros worth of spokes is 30+euros! GEEZ! If they had Extralite, things might have been different for me.

Given the supply problems Sapim are having at the moment I think they should short that out rather than add a new spoke to their range whicxh must divert some of their production capasity. Still waiting on some laser's that I ordered from Chickens back in April.

I got a reply from R2. They wanted to charge me 35 euros for shipping 34 ultra light spokes. Sigh!!

Komponentix - No stock either but they will check to see if they can lay their hands on some.

Any other recommendations please?

I've gotten a quote from them last night. The shipping is cheaper but the spokes were not. Why did you go back to CX Rays (From Superspokes)?

I was referring to your other wheelset with the Extralite hubs. Why didn't you use Superspokes with those but used CX Ray instead?

I used the Superspokes for my XC race bike. The Extralite/CX-Ray/Enve wheelset is for my XC/AM bike. For more aggressive riding the CX-Rays have proven to be great spokes & @ 1169 grams for the wheelset I'm thrilled with the weight & still have a strong reliable wheelset.

Thanks for the reply! For a minute, I was thinking you changed back to heavier spokes because you were having problems with superspokes. Now that you've explained, things are much clearer now

Latest update. Komponentix DOES NOT have the spokes due to a mistake in the inventory system. Back to square one again. Please suggest where else I can try my luck at.
