I should receive my new 29er rims and DT Swiss hubs shortly. I've yet to order my spokes and I've used various calculators to come up with various answers :s

The rims:
ERD 603mm
x32h
* edit 3x lacing

The hubs:
DT Swiss 240s Fifteen Center Lock front hub
DT Swiss 240s Center Lock MTB Rear Hub

The spokes/nipples:
Sapim CX-Ray Spokes
Sapim Brass Polyax Nipples

I calculated:
Left Front: 16 x 293.4 Choose 293?
Right Front: 16 x 295. Choose 295.

Left Rear: 16 x 294.3. Choose 294?
Right Rear: 16 x 292.6. Choose 293?

It'd be great to have second pair of eyes look at my calculation and give advice on rounding spoke lengths up or down.

if your asking forums members to calculated the spoke length you need you should at least tell them the spoke spoke pattern you want to use...

I think I know what you're asking.

Think about it. The nipple is about 6-8mm long so you as long as you've measured correctly the shorter options should be ok.

Thanks! Updated initial post to include 3x lacing.

I'm not asking members to calculate it for me...I've done that...the end calculation I used was from the DT Swiss calculator...which you can't enter Sapim spokes into (strange that). I'm unsure why diff calcs produce diff lengths :s A double check, by a more experienced wheelbuilder than myself, before I buy the spokes would save a costly mistake.

I'm more uncertain about whether to round lengths up or down.

Aye, you're right. Thnaks. With 14mm nipples rounding down obviously makes sense. And I believe I need to round down to an even number.

Assuming I've measured correctly would the following (rounded down) be suitable?
Left Front: 16 x 293.4. Choose 292?
Right Front: 16 x 295. Choose 294?

Left Rear: 16 x 294.3. Choose 294?
Right Rear: 16 x 292.6. Choose 292?

Or could I buy 64x292mm?
Or would 32x292mm + 32x294mm be better?

First wheelbuild...can you tell?

I built up the same set more or less for my scalpel...so lefty front hub. I used the AM wide versions and my set came out to 1510grams using Lasers in the front and lasers/DT race (drive side) rear. 500 or so miles on them now with zero problems.

That's good to hear utahjoe. I picked up the AM wide as well, hope I've got the spoke lengths correct ;o
