Really niceee skewers! How much they cost?!

I'm on a bike with a fork and rear end that isn't quite the stiffest (Ti bike with old Reba fork), and I find myself going back to Shimano skewers. I will vouch that they are the most secure skewers I've had the pleasure of using. They're the only ones that actually hold the wheel in without slipping, loosening, or causing issues with the brakes or whatever.

Had a costly front wheel loss when the front loosened from a weak skewer, riding my bike down a rocky descent. Didn't even realize is was actually wobbly and the front wheel wasn't secure, until I stopped at the bottom to wait up for my buddies, and look down to see it was slightly taco'd. I was basically doing my best to keep the bike going off in some direction I didn't want it to go, from all the bumps, while still going fast, basically at the limits of my ability. Any long bumpy descent is like that for me, actually riding on mountains.

Whenever I try to share my negative impression about other skewers, people are like, buy a new bike, buy a new fork, buy a new wheel that accepts solid skew-axles or whatever they call 'em, and that there's nothing wrong with their choice of fancy skewers. Never used the ones listed here, except for the Ti ones in post 2, the J&R non-QR ones, which creaked from just riding on the road on my Ti HT. I just simply want to point out that if your bike isn't the stiffest, a flimsy skewer will cause problems.

Mt Zoom skewers are really nice for the money.

Extralite Aliens 2 were awesome, but they were discontinued. Extralite is making a new model (Aliens 3), yet to be seen.
