god, this thing is more hideous looking than i could have possibly imagined - i could see myself riding a pinarello 29er, you know, to take the piss as it were, but not when it looks like this.

Wow, I'm kinda shocked. It just looks so wrong. Not beautiful or proportional, or anything that Pinarello does for a road bike. Its like they really missed the mark trying too hard to be different. That, and it truly looks like a road bike somehow... a sad, lame, road looking mountain bike.

it must be light as it just hovers above the ground, like Martys hoverboard in Back to the future

would look a lot better if it had a classy Italian paint job

Click on the photo for others that show the rear triangle.
No suspension other than some give in the stays probably.
But it is an interesting seat clamp, I have to admit.

The seat stays join at different heights  that thing is going to flex and twist off the first down hill I'd take it on

what typically happens is you get a design from the industrial design student, the marketing dept make one out of wood for a trade show, they get laughed at but they get some press coverage, then the engineers stop them from putting it into production.

What went wrong in this process?

you know what would have been cooler? if they had built a generic 29er frame with the wavy onda stays and a matching fork. hopefully, one of the chinese manufacturers will start producing a frame like that!

i say its a bit when de rosa came out with the there tango, my then boss thought i was april fools or something similar bike radar reckons the silly design is for more comfort, but if you want more comfort why would you stick on oversized seapost in that thing ?
and how about that steering angle ?? looks like it was designed with a 63 mm fork in mind ??

i reckon pinarinna should pack up in the bike industry and maybee start all over again with perhaps, design furniture or kitchen appliances !! its nearly offences what they make (-:
