Have a old mtb i'm more emotionally attached to than i have sense. So I'm looking to treat her (though more importantly myself) and get some light wheels. being a 26" rim braked bike I can't seem to see many wheelsets about, though I am not averse to making one up if it is the lightest way to go. The lightest I've been able to find is the American Classic 350 non disc, though there may be better out there, any suggestions on what may be lighter? The XTR hub or DT Swiss 340 seem candidates for building a wheel, with perhaps a mavic XM517 rim, but I think that will end up coming well over 1100 grams, though perhaps my maths is out on that one?
