I was considering using a Thomson masterpiece setback post on my new Specialized s-works 29er.
But when I installed it was at max insertion.
Would it be a bad idea to ride it like this? I am light, 64kg.

Max on the post or max on the seattube? Specialized has a minimum insertion marked on their seat tube.

If at or over max insertion, simply cut down as needed. If past minimum insertion, then yes, bad idea, find a longer post.
