This looks so promising!

Nice to see the world champ keeping it WW-real with a road FD  But Kulhavy's saddle/bar setup is just crazy, he looks so uncomfortable in that hunchback position..

I agree! I didn't expect to see a braze-on FD mount on an MTB either.
I'm liking the aesthetic of the grip-shift the more I look at it. Fits in well with the XX WC brake levers.

Thanks for the contribution.
It would be nice to see something newer than a quoted post from Sept.

Dude. If you have to ask that, then maybe you forgot what forum you're posting on.
I ran gripshift 8 speed for many years and loved the simplicity, reliability and LOW WEIGHT.

My bad, I did in fact lose sight of the WW aspect.

Gripshift (aka "gripsh*t") may be simple and light but I hated the actual shifting movement. Especially the front derailleur shift is such an awkward move if you are standing up.

As to winning the world championships, I suppose that you'd run out and buy a certain chain or cable because the sponsored rider used such product?

I've bought the SEC gripshift for Sram XX. I suspect them to perform shit, so gripshifts for XX is a most welcome product! I hope they end up around 100-130 gms though, they must come with a weight benefit over the triggers...
