What are the lightest, comfortable, commercially-available Bar Ends around?

I'm also looking for a good and light bar end and found these:

I've ordered a pair, but the bike shop still don't have them. Till that time it is unsure if the weight is for a pair or for one piece. The price is very nice, and the weight is almost as low as a set of ax liteness bar ends.

in this forum is also a fellow who make bar ends from wood. And those are the lightest around at this time! they weigh 24 gram.

Does anyone know what is the diameter of the end of a standard XC handlebar?

Does anyone know of a standard lenght, and thickness of Bar End?

I will hopefully finish a CAD design of an ultra-light bar end by the end of February. I will post it on the site.

I use to ride with barends. im not going to use it again because i crash and it left me blue-black on my thigh and scar and Go home with blood. I tried to ride speeding in the trail by standing up and holding barend and the chain snap and my barend snap too at the same time with sticky clipless pedal. My handle tip broke and chip off. my hand is always on barends and very addicted to it. Its simply cant let go off it. And i laugh to myself after i crash.
am i normal?
