Hello, I was wondering if re greasing my grip shift will make them less noisy or not at all. I opened them recently because I had to substitute the rubber part as it was completely wasted, but i did not regrease them. Should I do it or it's not worthy at all? is a bit annoying to close them again and place teh spring in the right place and so on... thanks :D

I never have, but that doesn't mean it's a bad idea.

You could use slick honey or some similar light-body grease that won't attack plastic/rubber. Gripshifters come packed with something similar, but it appears impregnated with teflon, so it wouldn't hurt. However, its probably not going to reduce noise too much.

the grease the shop put in my grip shift is white.
i can see it through the clear body part of the shifters.

i just regreased them properly, haven't made any km after it. sound seems to be exactly the same. perhaps a tiny bit lower, and perhaps it works now a bit softer, but pretty much the same noise. it works a bit better though, they were kinda dry inside so i guess it was a good idea.
