What are the lighest valves for tubeless?
Moderator: Moderator Team
I plan to remove inner tubes on my mtb this summer and finally install a latex tubeless system. I have a notubes rims and schwalbe tires so it should work with no issues. But I was wondering, which are the lightest valves around? I guess some are made of steel and I saw some made of aluminium, made by american classic i think. wht options do I have? which one do you recommend? are the ones of aluminium good enought? thanks a lot.

these are much better than american classic for rims with the inner part not flat, like the notubes alpine i use.

it looks like they might be 4.8g each. If so, they'd be heavier than the AC valves.

Speaking of valves for tubeless applications....
Where is the cheapest online store I can buy several of these? (They don't have to be the lightest but I want them real cheap!)

weight of these might be heavier than american classic ones, but the american classic only work on rims with a flat area inside. these ones work well on rims witha profile shape inside, like notubes rims. price is for teh pair. I got mine already but won't be able to install latex until july.

amclassics work on all the rims ive tried, including rovals and notubes. the o-ring they use as the base is tall and squishy, its had no problems conforming to the rim shape.
