My question would be how do you keep the headset tight? Fantastic idea though.

That's really clever! I'm going to make my own rendition of that now.

@deanh the top cap is just to preload the bearings before you tighten the stem on the steerer tube. It doesn't really provide much support in the sense that it keeps the stem on the steerer tube

NOTE!!! I would use this for LEFTY Forks ONLY!!!!!

Forgot to mention that! Since the lefty have the upper clamp as par of the tightening process on top of the stem, so at this point the star nut is useless after full installation.

Probably wouldn't be too difficult to modify a compression bung in order to attach the co2 cartridge to the bottom. Might not be real practical when your friends are waiting on you to change a flat, but pretty sweet idea anyway.

I was just now out for a ride test....nasty and rocky down hills,Co2 stayed tight inside, no play.... and I even helped a random guy in need of a pump...solved his problem in 1min and back to the ride!
