Hey guys,

I have a 2016 Giant Anthem Advanced SX with SRAM 1X11 XO1, Upgraded 130mm Pike (non boost) and Giant TRX 1 composite, 27mm wide, wheels. This bike is kind of a tweetner between XC and trail with 2.35" Hans Dampf (R) and Nobby Nic (F) tires. Also it will soon have a Fox Transfer dropper post to replace the current Giant Contact SL. Now I'm looking to update my wheels. I ride mostly single track and was hoping upgraded wheels would allow me to go even wider in the front while being stiffer and rolling better. What do you recommend under $1500? I noticed Merlin Cycles has the DT Swiss XMC 1200 Spline 30 carbon wheels for $1100. They are super wide at 30mm and super light, 1446 grams. What do you think?

Those wheels, or a very close sibling, are what Nino won on at the Olympics.

I think they are also stock on a few AM bikes.

Seems like a solid wheelset at a great price.

https://www.carbonfan.com/t800-tubeless ... -33mm-35mm

404usd for a set of 30mm ID rims. 345gm ea.

Using Novatech DB411/412CB and CX-Ray; around 1285gm for a build. Approx 800usd for components themselves.
(hubs and spokes from R2, for example).
