Re: Vittoria Terreno Dry G2.0 vs G-ONE R TLE

Both are great. The Vittoria has a more pronounced side knob which I find more predictable in very loose corners. This also is a bit of a negative on pavement compared to the rounded g one casing. I have been happy with both, just depends on which qualities you prefer

Re: Light, Disc, Tubeless... what's out there?

Stan's no tubes Grail CB7 are 300g per rim and tubeless compatible but pretty shallow. Tune make a set with their hub or you could build them with your choice of hub for a sub 1200g set easily. Super light for sure! Last I heard, most stan's rims had a reputation for being a bit noodle-ish... Is th...

Light, Disc, Tubeless... what's out there?

Have looked hard, not finding much, would love your advice... Looking for disc brake, tubeless, light (<1300g) wheelset. I know the extralight 338c are kind of the current gold standard, but is there anything else? These are going to be pushed hard in steep mountain climbs and descents, so I really ...

Re: New BMC Teammachine SLR01 - PWR Help

FWIW Pioneer turned all of their cycling assets over to Shimano at the start of 2020, so they are no longer in the power meter game. They are great PMs, but no further updates or anything coming down the pipe. Pedal based you have the garmin and the Favero Assioma, both are great, but it means you w...

Re: Tubeless tire options in 32c?

I'd vote for the schwalbe s-one (g-one speed). On wide rims mine measure 31mm, have been absolutely bulletproof for a season of mostly road, but plenty of fire road and singletrack. Durability has been phenomenal, and the performance was very good for a large tire.

Re: Cyclocross is tough on the parts !!

Yup. Another point worth consideration is that washing is only the start... The pain is drying and lubricating after each day to keep everything running smoothly. Some things that I found very helpful were using metallic shimano pads, and Kogel CX sealed bearings. Both products feel new after multip...

Re: Carbon Clincher Rim Brake Tracks NexGen - Experiences?

I have ridden a few of the new gen Mavic wheels, and I feel the best braking in the business right now. Smooth, powerful, consistent, although I didn't get much chance to try them in the wet.

Re: Lightest wheelset combo for CX racing

I know it's nothing boutique, but the Enve xc tubular rim, dt Swiss 240 hubs, 28h front and rear have been the best riding and most trouble free wheelset I have had the pleasure of owning. Total weight was about 1200g.

Re: DA 9070 RD + 30T?

I have run an 11-32 cassette as well, although I flipped the b tension screw around to get the extra height of the screw head. Wasn't perfect, but certainly worked well enough to get me all around Italy

Re: Absoluteblack oval road chairings...anyone tried?

I have 52/36 absolute black oval rings. Shifting had been much better than rotor, but undetstandably not as reliable as shimano. I wouldn't shift them under full gas, but I've been happy.

Re: BMC Timemachine (TMR) vs Teammachine

I've ridden both the current slr and TMR frames for a year each. Which is better really depends on your priorities, but they both do a great job of exactly what you expect. The SLR is light, great ride quality, efficient pedaling. The TMR is fast, stiff as all hell, with a firm but not terribly abus...

The notched tool you'll need is the same as for an FSA mega exo, your lbs likely will have one.
I just followed the wheels mfg instructions exactly as listed, and its been great so far
