I "bought" the frame from a classmate for a can of coke and a box of cookies. Then i started to strip the paint and, after that, polishing it. The result is this frame as it is now. At the local bike shop (near the store where i work parttime) i get a 20% discount. So i started my shopping there. The frame screemed for a ridgid fork. I found one at the back of the workshop weighted it and thougt that it could look pretty damn nice on the bike. I could get it for 20 euro. I still had some wheels a seatpost, stem, saddle and flatbars (the giant oems) So that wouldn't cost me any money. I still had to buy shifters, brake levers, brakes, bar ends, a crankset, a chain, a bracket, derailleurs front and rear, bottle cage and a cassette. In a box with second hand parts I found the crankset with rings and the bar ends. I managed to get the whole set for 35 Euros! The whole plan whas to use as less possible big S products on the bike as possible. The bracket is a Tange 104 mm that I bought for 15 Euros. The rear wheel whas already laced to a Shimano hub, so that would stay. The bracket was an XT and because there wasn't an other brand in the box I took it. Then I bought the SRAM set with 9.0 brakes because they have cartridge pads. The rest is 7.0. I really love the bike!
